A great product, available in a 1L tin

This is the next generation hardwax oil, Designed specifically to help preserve the natural beauty and tone of light coloured timbers. Hardwax Oil Ultra Natural follows the success of the original formulas benefits of being user friendly, easy to apply and quick drying, whilst offering improved ease of application and durability. The end result is a hard wearing, attractive finish in any situation including floors, doors and kitchen worktops that is easy to maintain with maintenance products and is spot repairable if the surface is damaged. Treatex Hardwax Oil Ultra Natural is also based on the treatex formulation of sustainable raw materials such as Bees wax,Carnauba wax, Candilla wax, Linseed oil, Sunflower oil, Jojoba oil. It contains no biocides or preservatives.

Natural Hardwax Oil Ultra is not a finish in its own right and should not be used on its own. If Natural Hardwax Oil Ultra is applied too thickly drying time will be increased. To speed up drying time raise the room temperature and increase air flow by opening doors, windows and using a fan. Treatex rollers and brushes are available. Alternatively, use a short gloss pile roller or good quality brush. Wet brushes and rollers can be cleaned using white spirit.

With the quality of Treatex finishes, floors can be finished with excellence, improving both the look and appeal of a laid wooden floor. Natural and durable, their hardwax oils are a great choice for finishing wood flooring, providing a naturally oiled effect once dry. Easy to apply and versatile.

Suitable for: Internal use
Recommended timbers: Lighter coloured timbers e.g. Oak, Pine, Ash, Beech, Birch, Maple, Sycamore etc.
Applications: Floors, doors, stairs, worktops, woodturning etc.

Natural Hardwax Oil contains a small amount of white pigment which allows it to be used in two different ways:

  • Method 1 - as a base coat for lighter timbers: If you prefer to protect light timbers whilst changing the unfinished colour as little as possible then Treatex Hardwax Oil Ultra Natural can be applied as a base coat underneath two coats of Treatex Clear Hardwax Oil Ultra to neutralise the warming effect.

  • Method 2 – as a top coat for surfaces treated with Spruce Colour Tone: For a purer white, seal Spruce Colour Tone with two coats of Hardwax Oil Ultra Natural. When Treatex Clear Hardwax Oil is applied on top of our Spruce Colour Tone it can have a slight yellowing effect on the colour.

Please Note:
Hardwax Oil Ultra Natural is not intended to be used in the same method as Clear Hardwax oil and should either be overcoated with 2 coats of
Hardwax Oil Ultra Clear or should be applied as 2 coats over Spruce Colour tone as outlined above. Applying more than one coat of Natural on its own will usually result in a milky/patchy finish.

1L will cover approximately 25m² in one coat depending on the timber and method of application.
2.5L will cover approximately 50m² in one coat depending on the timber and method of application.
