Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oil is manufactured on a base of natural sustainable raw materials including Sunflower oil, Soybean oil and are free of toxic substances. Treatex Exterior Oils are the ideal new or renovation finish for treated or untreated decking, steps and wooden walkways.

Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oil has been designed to reduce the risk of slipping on exterior wooden surfaces which are susceptable to becoming slippery due to the accumilation of moisture, moss, algae and lychens.

Coverage: 

2.5L will cover approximately 17.5m²-25m² in one coat depending on the wood type (rough, sawn, planed). In corrugated timber, consumption may double, due to the increase in surface area. 

Preparation:

Ensure the timber is dry and free from possible contaminates e.g. algae, grease, dirt, dust etc. We advise that when using Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oi, sufficient product is purchased to complete the whole project and when more than one tin is required it is advisable to mix them together before use. The timber must have a moisture content below 18% and the ambient temperature must be greater than 8oc/<60% humidity during application and drying. Anti Slip Decking Oil has different effects on different surfaces. We strongly advise a trial coat.

Application:

Stir tins thoroughly, before and during use. Use a brush or roller to evenly apply Treatex Anti Slip Decking Oil, allowing approximately 100-165ml per m2. After approximately 8 - 12 hours (avoid moisture exposure during this time) the first coat can be overcoated if required. Apply with a brush or roller a second coat of Anti Slip Decking Oil, again allowing roughly 100-165ml per m2. After the second coat leave for approximately 8-12 hours to dry. The surface can then be used after 24 hours of drying with care. Full hardness will be achieved after 10 days.

Tips:

    -Treatex  brushes and rollers are available.

    -Wet brushes and rollers can be  cleaned with soap and water.

   -Store tins in a cool and frost free  environment. Unopened tins will last for three years. Once tins are  opened, transfer contents to a smaller airtight container.
